Summary

About the place: Aichtal is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Located south of Stuttgart on the edge of the Schönbuch nature park, it is crossed by the river Aich.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal bands, green on top and yellow on the bottom, with an aspect ratio of approximately 3:5. In the center of the flag is the town's coat of arms. The shield is yellow; its upper section (chief) features a black four-point deer antler facing right from the viewer's perspective. The lower part of the shield is divided horizontally five times into green and yellow stripes (a total of alternating three green and three yellow stripes).

Symbolism: The colors green and yellow represent the natural environment of the town on the edge of the Schönbuch region. The black deer antler in the upper chief symbolizes the historical connection to Württemberg. The alternating horizontal stripes in the lower section represent the merger of the three former municipalities (Grötzingen, Aich, and Neuenhaus) that formed the present-day town of Aichtal.
