Summary

About the place: Albrechtičky is a rural municipality in the Nový Jičín District of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Czechia, situated in the lowlands of the Oder River adjacent to the Poodří Protected Landscape Area and near the Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of yellow, blue, and white in a width ratio of 1:2:1. In the wider central blue stripe is a yellow bishop's crozier with the crook turned toward the hoist, whose lower part is surcharged with a white water caltrop (water chestnut) fruit with four radiating yellow leaves. The width-to-length ratio of the sheet is 2:3.

Symbolism: The bishop's crozier represents Saint Nicholas, patron saint of the local parish church. The water caltrop (fruit of Trapa natans, giving its name to the nearby Kotvice nature reserve) together with the blue field symbolizes the Oder River, local fishponds, and the wetland ecosystems of the Poodří Protected Landscape Area. The yellow and white colors also echo the heraldic tinctures of the Counts Vetter von der Lilien, historic lords of the local estate.
