Summary

About the place: Balatonlelle is a popular resort town located in Somogy County on the southern shore of Lake Balaton. It is renowned for its long beaches, marina, winemaking tradition, and vibrant summer cultural events.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, with the bottom stripe being green and the top stripe divided lengthwise. In the hoist area of the top stripe (on the left side from the viewer's perspective) is a white square canton containing the full coat of arms of Balatonlelle, complete with helmet, crest, and mantling. The remaining fly area of the top stripe is red.

Symbolism: The red and green colors, combined with the white field, refer to the Hungarian national colors. The town coat of arms in the white field depicts a shield with regional symbols: a church representing local history and architecture, an anchor over wavy water symbolizing the port and navigation on Lake Balaton, and grapes with wheat stalks referencing agriculture and viticulture. The shield is surmounted by a helmet with a bird crest.
