Belinsky, Penza Oblast

Belinsky is a town in the Penza Oblast of Russia, located at the confluence of the Bolshoy and Maly Chembar rivers. Originally known as Chembar, it was renamed in honor of the literary critic Vissarion Belinsky. The town serves as the administrative center for the surrounding district.
