Summary

About the place: Bochovice is a municipality and village in Třebíč District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the Křižanov Highlands about 15 km north of Třebíč. The rural municipality also comprises the administrative part of Batouchovice and is historically renowned for mineral finds.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, green and white, in a ratio of 3 : 1. In the hoist half of the green stripe, there are two erect crossed white shovels with yellow handles, flanked on the sides and below by a white four-petaled flower with a yellow centre. The ratio of the flag's width to length is 2 : 3.

Symbolism: The crossed shovels symbolize traditional agricultural labor as well as the municipality's renowned mineralogical heritage—namely the digging and prospecting for local gemstones (amethysts, morions, and quartz crystals). The four-petaled flowers represent the regional flora, countryside, and the fortune of discovering mineral treasures. The white stripe at the bottom evokes local streams and ponds, while the green field reflects the rural landscape, meadows, and forests.
