Summary

About the place: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of black, yellow, and black in a width ratio of 1 : 2 : 1. The width-to-length ratio of the flag is 2 : 3.

Flag Description: Březník is a Moravian municipality and village located in Třebíč District within the Vysočina Region, approximately 6 km southeast of Náměšť nad Oslavou near the confluence of the Oslava and Chvojnice rivers. It is situated in the undulating landscape of the Jevišovice Uplands at an elevation of about 370 meters above sea level.

Symbolism: The black crowned lion on the gold (yellow) field derives from the heraldic arms of the Lords of Lamberk and Náchod, who historically held the local estate and stronghold. The green birch leaves serve as canting arms (alluding to the name Březník, from 'bříza' meaning birch) and highlight the surrounding natural landscape.
