Summary

About the place: Březová is a small municipality in the Beroun District of the Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, situated approximately 9 kilometres north of Hořovice in the rolling forested landscape near the historic castles of Točník and Žebrák.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of red, embattled yellow, and white, in a width ratio of 1 : 2 : 9. The yellow stripe features four rectangular teeth towards the hoist and three indentations of equal width, extending to the first sixth of the flag's length. In the white stripe, adjacent to the yellow stripe, is a green birch trefoil pointing towards the fly. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2 : 3.

Symbolism: The green birch trefoil is a canting charge representing the name of the municipality (derived from the Czech word for birch, „bříza“). The embattled yellow stripe (reflecting the battlemented towers of the municipal coat of arms) and the red field together symbolize the historic fortified castles of Žebrák and Točník, to whose royal estate the village historically belonged.
