Bridgeport, Connecticut

Bridgeport is a major port city located in Connecticut at the mouth of the Pequonnock River. It was originally inhabited by the Paugussett tribe before being settled by the English in the 17th century. The city gained prominence in the 19th century and became a significant industrial hub.
