Summary

About the place: Bukovinka is a municipality and village in the Blansko District of the South Moravian Region, situated in the forested landscape of the Drahany Highlands about 14 km southeast of Blansko and 18 km northeast of Brno.

Flag Description: A blue field with a yellow fly-pointing wedge reaching the centre of the fly. In the hoist half, three yellow acorns with their stems pointing toward each other – the upper one erect, the middle one fesswise pointing towards the hoist, and the lower one inverted. The aspect ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The three golden acorns derive from the municipality's oldest known seal dating to 1668, which depicted an oak branch despite the village name originating from 'beech' (buk), symbolizing local forests, endurance, and historical heritage. The blue tincture reflects the Marian patronage of the local Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, as well as historical ties to past feudal lords.
