Summary

About the place: Bulovka (German: Bullendorf) is a border municipality in Liberec District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the northern part of the Frýdlant Hook along the Bulovka Stream near the Polish border. It comprises three constituent villages (Bulovka, Arnoltice, and Dolní Oldřiš) with a predominantly rural and agricultural-forestry landscape.

Flag Description: The flag consists of four horizontal stripes: white, blue, yellow, and red. The width-to-length ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The flag is derived directly from the municipal coat of arms granted on 5 April 2001 (Decision No. 83). The colors of the horizontal stripes correspond to the tinctures of the arms: white represents the silver stag antler with linden leaves (symbolizing the rich local forests and wildlife of the Frýdlant region), blue and yellow are taken from the blue-and-gold parted shield, and red represents the flaming sword of Saint Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of the local parish church.
