Summary

About the place: Býšovec is a small Moravian municipality located in the Žďár nad Sázavou District within the Vysočina Region, approximately 7 km southeast of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem in the rolling hills of the Nedvědice Highlands. In addition to Býšovec itself, the municipality includes the incorporated village of Smrček.

Flag Description: The flag consists of four vertical stripes: white, green, red, and yellow in a width ratio of 1 : 2 : 2 : 1. Issuing from the yellow stripe and extending across the red stripe into the green stripe is a white, yellow-ornamented armored right arm holding an upright yellow spruce tree in a chainmail gauntlet. The flag aspect ratio is 2 : 3.

Symbolism: The colors and charges are derived from the municipal coat of arms granted in 2009. The armored arm is taken from the historical arms of the local gentry (vladykové) of Býšovec, who held a stronghold here and served the Lords of Pernštejn. The golden spruce is a canting charge representing the incorporated village of Smrček (Czech for young spruce). Green and red symbolize the surrounding forested landscape, nature, and regional heritage.
