Carahue

Carahue is a city and commune located in southern Chile on the banks of the Imperial River. It was originally founded as La Imperial in the sixteenth century before being destroyed and later refounded in the nineteenth century. The area is notable for hosting the southernmost natural forests of Araucaria araucana.
