Černošice is a town in Prague‑West District, Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, situated about 5 km southwest of Prague on the left bank of the Berounka River. Its origins date to the 11th century, with Horní Černošice first mentioned in 1115 and Dolní Mokropsy in 1088. The town grew as a railway‑linked weekend resort after the 1862 line to Plzeň opened.
