Summary
About the place: Cetenov is a rural municipality in the Liberec District of the Liberec Region, situated in the foothills of the Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge along the Zábrdka river basin about 6 km southeast of Český Dub. It comprises six rural settlements set amidst the picturesque Podještědí countryside.
Flag Description: A yellow field with an aspect ratio of 2:3. Growing from the bottom edge is a green linden tree. In the upper part of the flag, a red chain extends horizontally from the hoist to the fly edge.
Symbolism: The green linden tree on a yellow (golden) field represents the natural heritage, the rural character of the area, and local heritage trees (such as the memorial lindens in Těšnov). The red chain is the traditional attribute of Saint Leonard, to whom the historical chapel in the constituent hamlet of Hrubý Lesnov is dedicated. The color combination of gold and red also recalls the historic regional lords, the Lords of Wartenberg (Jan of Wartenberg).
