Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai

Chita serves as the administrative center of the Zabaykalsky Krai region in Russia. It was established by Cossacks in the seventeenth century along the banks of the local river. The city became a significant hub following the arrival of the Trans-Siberian Railway.
