About the place: Chleny is a village and municipality in Rychnov nad Kněžnou District within the Hradec Králové Region, situated in the undulating landscape of the Orlické foothills about 7 km southwest of Kostelec nad Orlicí. The settlement preserves a tranquil rural character centered around the Baroque Church of Saint Apollinaris.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two vertical stripes of green and red. In the center is an eradicated yellow tree, in the green stripe with leaves and infructescence of a linden, and in the red stripe with leaves and samara of a sycamore maple. The ratio of width to length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The tree combining branches of a linden and a sycamore maple (Czech 'klen') is a canting charge evoking the village's name (klen – Chleny) as well as the prominent local flora and natural landscape. The green stripe symbolizes local agriculture, pastures, and woodlands, while the red field connects to traditional regional and Bohemian heraldic colors.
