Flag Description: Chlumy is a small rural municipality in the Plzeň-South District, Plzeň Region, situated approximately 10 km southeast of Nepomuk amidst the undulating landscape of western Bohemia. It is a peaceful countryside village whose village green is dominated by a protected Neoclassical chapel from the first half of the 19th century.

Symbolism: The green field and the arched stripe (representing a hill or ridge, in Czech 'chlum') form a canting device referencing the municipality's name and forested landscape. The silver and red division of the arched stripe evokes the historic links to the Cistercian monastery and the Lords of Švamberk (Swanberg). The white chapel facade depicts the village's principal landmark, an early 19th-century Neoclassical green chapel. The two eight-pointed gold stars are derived from the coat of arms of the Counts of Sternberg, long-time owners of the Zelená Hora estate to which Chlumy historically belonged.
