Summary
About the place: Chraberce is a small rural municipality located in the Louny District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic, situated at the southern foot of the Bohemian Central Uplands directly beneath the prominent basalt hill Oblík.
Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, blue and green, in a width ratio of 7:3. Issuing from the second to the seventh twelfths of the upper edge of the green stripe into the blue stripe is a green hill, from which rises a white demi-lion with a red tongue, white teeth, and yellow armament, holding in its dexter paw a yellow axe and in its sinister paw a red roundel shield charged with two crossed yellow ears of grain, each with an outward-pointing leaf. The ratio of the flag's width to length is 2:3.
Symbolism: The green hill represents the distinctive natural landmark overlooking the village, the basalt peak Oblík, while the green and blue tinctures reflect the rural landscape and sky. The demi-lion brandishing an axe serves as a canting symbol of valor and courage, derived from the Old Czech etymology of the village name ("village of the brave/valiant men"). The red round shield charged with crossed ears of wheat signifies the community's agricultural heritage and fertility.
