Summary

About the place: Chrášťany is a municipality in the northern part of České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region, located approximately 6 km northwest of Týn nad Vltavou in the undulating landscape of the Tábor Uplands. The predominantly rural and agricultural municipality comprises five administrative parts: Chrášťany, Doubrava, Doubravka, Koloměřice, and Pašovice.

Flag Description: The flag consists of a green hoist stripe occupying one-third of the flag's length and three horizontal stripes of yellow, white, and blue. The aspect ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The colors of the flag derive from the municipal arms approved in 2020: the green stripe refers to the etymology of Chrášťany from 'chrást' (woods, brushwood), surrounding forests, and agriculture (the five wheat ears representing the five local administrative parts). Yellow (gold) and white (silver) reflect the tinctures of the parted shield and historic ties to the Prague Archdiocese, while the blue stripe corresponds to the wavy base in the arms representing the nearby Vltava River and local ponds.
