Summary
Čierna nad Tisou is a town and municipality in the Trebišov District of the Košice Region in south‑eastern Slovakia, near the Tisa River. Established in 1828, it hosted the 1968 meeting between Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and Czechoslovak President Alexander Dubček preceding the Warsaw Pact invasion. The town lies close to the Hungary‑Ukraine‑Slovakia tripoint.
