Summary
About the place: Crhov is a small municipality in the Blansko District of the South Moravian Region, situated in the hilly landscape of the Upper Svratka Highlands near the town of Olešnice.
Flag Description: The flag consists of four horizontal stripes: blue, yellow, black double-embattled (offset), and yellow, in a width ratio of 11:1:3:3. In the blue stripe is a yellow patriarchal cross between two outward-inclined white natural lilies. The width-to-length ratio of the flag is 2:3.
Symbolism: The patriarchal cross and lilies derive from the historical 1787 municipal seal depicting a saint with lilies associated with the Cyril and Methodius tradition, from which the name of the village is traditionally derived. The black double-embattled stripe symbolizes the vanished local medieval fortress and references historical noble rulers of the area (such as the Lords of Drnovice).
