Summary

About the place: Dašice is a town in the Pardubice District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the lowlands along the Loučná River about 10 km east of Pardubice. It is a historic settlement recognized for its urban heritage zone, agricultural roots, and developing light industry.

Flag Description: The flag consists of five vertical stripes alternating red and white in a width ratio of 1 : 3 : 9 : 3 : 1. In the wide central white stripe is a white double-tailed lion with yellow crown and armed, facing away from the hoist (contourné, looking towards the fly). The aspect ratio of the sheet is 2 : 3.

Symbolism: The flag of Dašice (granted on April 27, 1999) derives its design and tinctures directly from the town's historic coat of arms, granted in 1917 by Emperor Charles I. The lion represents the Bohemian heraldic lion, although its unusual posture facing sinister (contourné, turned away from the hoist) directly reflects the historic municipal armorial achievement. The red and white vertical stripes reflect the primary tinctures of the town's shield (a silver lion on a red field).
