Des Peres, Missouri

Des Peres is a suburban city in St. Louis County, Missouri, situated near the River des Peres. The area was originally inhabited by several Native American tribes, including the Cahokia and Osage, before French settlers founded the community in the early 18th century. Its name, French for “The Fathers,” honors the Jesuit missionaries who once lived there.
