Summary

About the place: Dětkovice is a small village and municipality in the Vyškov District of the South Moravian Region, situated in the fertile agricultural landscape of the Vyškov Gate near the Haná region along the Dětkovický Brook, about 10 km northeast of Vyškov.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of white, blue, and white in a width ratio of 1:4:1. Centred in the blue stripe is a yellow split arrow. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The municipal flag and coat of arms were officially granted on 9 April 2002 by decision No. 104 of the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. The yellow split arrow (rozletitá střela) set against the blue field directly references the ancestral coat of arms of the noble Lords of Švábenice, who held Dětkovice since the beginning of the 14th century (the earliest recorded mention of the village in 1311 is linked to Vítek of Švábenice). The white stripes, along with the blue and yellow, match the tinctures of the municipal coat of arms.
