Summary

About the place: Dírná is a South Bohemian municipality situated in Tábor District, approximately 11 km east of Soběslav. Located in the undulating landscape of the Tábor Uplands, it is best known for its Renaissance-Baroque chateau, the ancestral seat of the House of Wratislaw of Mitrowicz.

Flag Description: Quartered flag with an aspect ratio of 2:3. The upper hoist canton is red, the lower hoist is green, the upper fly is black, and the lower fly is white.

Symbolism: The flag's color scheme is derived directly from the municipal coat of arms granted in 1997. The red and black in the upper section represent the historic red-and-black ancestral arms of the noble Wratislaw of Mitrowicz family, long-standing lords of Dírná. The green and white in the lower section symbolize the surrounding rural countryside, forests, and natural environment of the South Bohemian region.
