Summary

About the place: Dlouhá Loučka is a municipality in the Olomouc District of the Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic, situated at the foothills of the Low Jeseník mountain range along the Oslava river, about 7 km northeast of Uničov. It was formed by the merging of the historical villages of Horní and Dolní Dlouhá Loučka.

Flag Description: The flag of Dlouhá Loučka (Olomouc District) consists of two vertical stripes: a red hoist stripe bearing two white horizontal wedges reaching the center of the sheet, and a fly stripe divided into five alternating white and black diagonal stripes. A yellow knife is placed diagonally across the field, pointing towards the upper hoist corner with its cutting edge downward. The ratio of width to length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The symbolism is derived from the municipal coat of arms granted in 2000. The two white wedges and black bendlets recall the arms of noble families that historically governed the two original settlements (such as the Lords of Sovinec and the Olomouc Chapter) as well as local topography. The diagonally positioned knife originates from historical village seal imagery, representing local craftsmen and agriculture, while visually tying together the unified communities of Horní and Dolní Dlouhá Loučka.
