Summary

About the place: Dlouhý Újezd is a rural municipality in Tachov District within the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the foothills of the Upper Palatine Forest (Český les) roughly three kilometres south of Tachov. The elongated village features traditional Bohemian countryside architecture and a preserved historical Jewish cemetery.

Flag Description: A green field with a white hoist-based wedge whose apex reaches the fly edge. The width-to-length ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The white wedge issuing from the hoist across the green field serves as a canting and topographical charge, representing the settlement's elongated valley layout and the historical concept of an "újezd" (a bounded medieval land tract). The green colour symbolizes the surrounding forests of the Upper Palatine Forest and the region's agricultural heritage.
