Summary
About the place: Dobkovice is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the scenic landscape of the Central Bohemian Uplands on the left bank of the Elbe River between Ústí nad Labem and Děčín. The Poustka stream flows through the municipality to empty into the Elbe, and the village is traversed by the main Prague–Děčín railway and road corridor.
Flag Description: A white field with a blue pile issuing from the bottom edge reaching its apex at three-eighths of the flag's width, charged with a white anchor. In the white field, flanking the pile, are two erect, facing green oak twigs, each bearing an acorn between two leaves. The width-to-length ratio of the flag is 2 : 3.
Symbolism: The blue wedge with an anchor symbolizes the municipality's position along the Elbe River, its heritage of river navigation, and the historic 19th-century Stolle shipyard. The two green oak sprigs provide a canting reference to the village's name (traditionally linked to 'dub', meaning oak), as well as reflecting the surrounding forested hills of the Central Bohemian Uplands and the constituent local settlements. White and blue evoke the waters of the Elbe.
