Summary

About the place: Dobrá is a municipality and village in the Frýdek-Místek District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic (historic Cieszyn Silesia), situated just east of Frýdek-Místek in the Morávka River valley at the foothills of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Flag Description: Blue field with a yellow rampant goat in the hoist half. The ratio of the width to the length of the sheet is 2:3.

Symbolism: The flag's design is derived from the municipal coat of arms granted in 1996. The yellow (golden) rampant goat stems from the ancestral arms of the knights Vlček of Dobrá Zemica (later Counts Wilczek), who held the estate for about 150 years, and also reflects the pastoral traditions of the Beskid foothills. The blue field represents the Morávka River flowing through the municipality and alludes to the historical colors of the Duchy of Teschen.
