Summary

About the place: Dobrochov is a municipality and village in Prostějov District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the fertile Haná region about 10 km south of Prostějov. The traditionally agricultural village lies on the slopes of Předina hill near the D46 motorway.

Flag Description: The flag consists of a red hoist stripe covering one-third of the flag's length and a yellow fly field charged with a green eradicated oak tree with a brown trunk. The width-to-length ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The eradicated oak is the traditional historical emblem of the village, originating from its 1668 seal and referencing local legends as well as the etymological origin of the village's name connected with oak woods. The red hoist stripe (together with the fret in the coat of arms) commemorates Dobrochov's historical centuries-long subservience to the nearby town of Prostějov.
