Summary

About the place: Dobronín (German: Dobrenz) is a municipality and village in Jihlava District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, situated approximately 11 km northeast of Jihlava along the Zlatý potok stream. It is a notable rural settlement historically connected with agriculture, glassmaking, and rail transport.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes: a white embattled/crenellated stripe, red, and blue, in a width ratio of 1:2:1. The hoistward white stripe features four merlons and three indentations. From the blue stripe at the fly, the forepart of a yellow bull issues into the central red stripe. The ratio of width to length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The symbolism of the flag directly reflects the municipal coat of arms granted in 2002. The white embattled stripe represents the embattled wall from the coat of arms, signifying historical defense and communal fortitude. The yellow (golden) bull springing from the blue stripe is derived from historic local seals and rural traditions, while the red and blue fields reproduce the tinctures of the halved municipal shield.
