Summary

About the place: Dolní Vilémovice is a Moravian village situated in the Třebíč District within the Vysočina Region, approximately 10 km southeast of Třebíč. Located in the gently rolling agricultural landscape of the Jevišovice Uplands, it is prominently known as the birthplace of Czechoslovak paratrooper and anti-Nazi resistance hero Jan Kubiš.

Flag Description: A blue field with a vertical yellow hoist stripe occupying one-third of the flag's length. Centered on the partition line is a party-per-pale pot helmet with mantling and two outspread wings, all counterchanged. The ratio of the flag's width to length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The design of the flag (and coat of arms) was created by heraldist Stanislav Kasík and officially granted in 2004. The primary charge—a party-per-pale pot helmet with crest wings and mantling counterchanged in blue and yellow—directly references the crest from the ancestral coat of arms of the Counts of Waldstein (Wallenstein), who held the Třebíč estate including Dolní Vilémovice from the late 17th century until 1945. The gold and blue tinctures represent these historical lordly ties.
