Summary
About the place: Domaželice is a municipality in the Přerov District of the Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic, situated in a gently undulating agricultural landscape about 8 km southeast of Přerov along the Moštěnka stream.
Flag Description: A blue field with a green horizontal stripe along the bottom edge, one-sixth of the flag's width. Rising from the green stripe is a yellow lion with a white crown and red armed and langued, flanked at the hoist by a yellow six-pointed star and at the fly by a yellow scallop shell. The aspect ratio is 2:3.
Symbolism: The golden scallop shell is the attribute of Saint James the Greater, patron saint of the local parish church. The crowned golden lion and golden star reference historic nobility and past manor owners (connections to Sternberg and Zierotin heraldic traditions), while the green stripe at the bottom evokes the agricultural character and undulating landscape of the village. The municipal symbols were designed by prominent Czech heraldist Jiří Louda.
