Summary

About the place: Doubravy is a municipality and village in the Zlín District of the Zlín Region, situated in the hilly landscape of the Vizovice Highlands and the Luhačovice Zálesí cultural region, roughly 10 km south of Zlín. It is a quiet rural community known for its traditional fruit growing and local folklore.

Flag Description: Quartered flag. The upper hoist and lower fly quarters are white. The lower hoist and upper fly quarters are red, each charged with a white water-lily leaf (seeblatt) with a portion of stem. The aspect ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The quartered division, red and white tinctures, and the seeblätter (water-lily leaves) are derived from the coat of arms of the Counts of Kaunitz, longtime feudal lords of the local estate (in the municipal coat of arms, these are combined with a sloe/plum branch symbolizing the traditional regional fruit growing).
