Summary
About the place: Drnovice is a municipality and village in Vyškov District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, situated about 2 km west of Vyškov at the interface of the Drahany Highlands and the Vyškov Gate along the Drnůvka stream. The village is well known for its heritage, the baroque Church of Saint Lawrence, a 19th-century manor house, and a prominent former top-tier football club.
Flag Description: The flag consists of a blue vertical hoist stripe occupying one-third of the flag's length and a yellow field occupying the remaining middle and fly two-thirds, charged with an erect green palm frond. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2:3.
Symbolism: The flag is derived from the municipal coat of arms granted in 1996. The green palm frond represents the martyr's palm and traditional attribute of Saint Lawrence, patron saint of the local parish church. The blue colour refers to early historical lords of the estate and symbolizes the headwaters of the local Drnůvka stream, while the yellow colour represents the fertile agricultural landscape of the Haná region.
