Summary

About the place: Držkov is a municipality in the Jablonec nad Nisou District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic, situated in the hilly foothills between the Jizera Mountains and the Giant Mountains. It lies along the I/10 road between Železný Brod and Tanvald at an altitude of approximately 550 metres above sea level.

Flag Description: A red field with an aspect ratio of 2 : 3. In the hoist half, six white beads are threaded vertically on a white cord issuing from the top and bottom edges, accompanied by a crowned white double-tailed lion with yellow armament and tongue facing the fly, holding in its left paw a bendwise yellow sword pointed toward the top edge.

Symbolism: The Bohemian double-tailed lion holding an upright sword derives from the historical municipal seal and signifies the village's frontier position guarding the realm's border. The six beads threaded on a cord represent the long-standing local tradition of glassmaking and costume jewelry production, particularly bead-cutting and stringing. The red and white color scheme also reflects the traditional colors of Bohemia.
