Summary
Łęczna is a town in eastern Poland, the seat of Łęczna County and Gmina Łęczna. It was first mentioned in 1252 and received Magdeburg rights on 7 January 1467 from King Casimir IV. In 1581 King Stephen Báthory granted trade privileges that made it a key centre for horse and cattle trade.
