Summary
Łęknica is a border town in western Poland, located in Żary County of the Lubusz Voivodeship on the Neisse River opposite Bad Muskau, Germany. The town lies in the historic Upper Lusatia region and is adjacent to the Muskau Park, a trans‑national UNESCO World Heritage site. Historically it passed from the Bohemian Crown to Saxony in 1635, was ruled by Polish kings in personal union (1697‑1763), and became part of Prussia after the 1815 Congress of Vienna.
