Summary

About the place: Füzérradvány is a village in northeastern Hungary, located in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County near the Slovak border. It is famous for its historic Károlyi Castle and the surrounding extensive castle park with an arboretum.

Flag Description: The flag of the municipality consists of two vertical stripes – blue on the hoist side and white on the fly side. The coat of arms of the municipality is centered in the white stripe. The shield is divided horizontally; the upper blue field features a black bird standing on a green mount, facing left from the viewer's perspective and holding a red heart in its claw. The lower red field depicts a white castle building with a tower. The shield is flanked by green oak branches and surmounted by a golden coronet.

Symbolism: Blue and white represent the local municipal colors. The bird holding a heart on a mount in the upper field is derived from the historic seal and family iconography, while the white building in the lower field depicts the local landmark, Károlyi Castle.
