Summary
About the place: Hlincová Hora is a municipality in the South Bohemian Region, České Budějovice District, situated on the forested elevations of the Lišov Threshold roughly 6 km east of České Budějovice city centre. It is a predominantly rural and residential village surrounded by woodland.
Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of white, green, and white in a ratio of 1 : 2 : 1. In the central green stripe, a white crozier issues from the bottom edge with its crook turned towards the hoist. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2 : 3.
Symbolism: The white bishop's crozier represents Saint Nicholas, recalling the village's historical ownership by the České Budějovice parish deanery of St. Nicholas, as well as its historical German name Pfaffendorf ('priest's village') and original Czech name Nícova Hora. The green colour symbolizes the surrounding forested landscape and topography ('hora' meaning hill/mountain), while the white and green tinctures derive directly from the municipal coat of arms.
