Summary

About the place: Hodslavice is a submontane village and municipality in the Nový Jičín District of the Moravian-Silesian Region, nestled in a scenic valley at the foot of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. It is best known as the birthplace of the prominent Czech historian, politician, and "Father of the Nation", František Palacký.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three vertical stripes of red, blue, and white in a width ratio of 1:3:1. In the wider central blue stripe, there is a yellow deer (stag) running toward the fly. The ratio of the flag's hoist to fly (width to length) is 2:3.

Symbolism: The running golden stag symbolizes the rich nature, extensive forests, and foothill character of the Beskids landscape. The color combination of red, blue, and white reflects traditional Moravian and national colors.
