Summary
About the place: Honezovice is a municipality in the Plzeň-South District of the Plzeň Region, located southwest of Stod in the undulating Plzeň Uplands. The largely agricultural municipality also includes the administrative village of Hradišťany.
Flag Description: A flag quarterly divided into red and white, charged with a central vertical blue stripe one-third of the flag's length wide. The blue stripe bears a yellow crozier terminating in a fleur-de-lis with a white sudarium fluttering to the sides, surcharged by a red princely hat adorned with yellow. The width-to-length ratio is 2:3.
Symbolism: The yellow abbot's crozier with a white sudarium represents the Benedictine Kladruby Monastery, to which Duke Vladislav I donated part of the village in 1115, while the princely hat symbolizes Duke Vladislav I himself. The red and white quartering derives from the livery colors and coat of arms of the House of Lobkowicz, who incorporated the village into their Horšovský Týn estate in the 16th century.
