Summary

About the place: Horní Nětčice is a small Moravian rural municipality in Přerov District, Olomouc Region, situated in the undulating landscape of the Sub-Beskidian Foothills within the traditional Záhoří region. It lies approximately 11 km south of Hranice and 18 km east of Přerov.

Flag Description: The flag of the municipality of Horní Nětčice has an aspect ratio of 2:3 and consists of three vertical stripes of green, white, and yellow in a 1:2:1 width ratio. In the center of the white stripe is a red Greek cross.

Symbolism: The design and colors of the flag are derived from the municipal coat of arms granted on June 13, 1995 (Decision No. 56). The green stripe corresponds to the upper green field of the shield, symbolizing the village's rural landscape and agriculture. The red cross in the white field represents the banner of the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei), which is the primary charge in the arms. The yellow and red colors reflect the gold-and-red divided lower half of the shield featuring crossed vine knives, taken from the arms of the House of Dietrichstein, the former lords of the Helfštýn–Lipník estate to which the village historically belonged.
