Summary

About the place: Horní Rápotice is a small municipality situated in the Pelhřimov District of the Vysočina Region in the Czech Republic, located approximately 6 km northwest of Humpolec in the rolling landscape of the Křemešník Highlands.

Flag Description: The flag consists of two horizontal stripes, white and green, with a width-to-length ratio of 2:3. Each stripe features a Greek-style cross in counterchanged colors (a green cross in the upper white stripe and a white cross in the lower green stripe), with the width of the cross arms equal to one-tenth of the flag's width. The arms of the crosses originate at three-tenths and eight-tenths of the hoist and fly edges, and four-fifteenths of the top and bottom edges of the sheet.

Symbolism: The flag is derived from the municipal coat of arms granted in 2016. The green color represents the surrounding countryside, woodlands, and the agricultural character of the area, while white provides heraldic contrast. The two crosses in counterchanged colors symbolize Christian heritage, regional history, and local historical landmarks such as roadside shrines and the village chapel.
