Summary

About the place: Hoštice-Heroltice is a municipality in the South Moravian Region (Vyškov District), situated approximately 6 km northeast of Vyškov. It lies in the fertile agricultural lowlands of the Vyškov Gate and Haná regions along the Rostěnice Stream, having been formed by the unification of two historical villages, Hoštice and Heroltice.

Flag Description: A green field with a white bend sinister (diagonal stripe running from the upper fly edge to the lower hoist edge) equal to one-third of the flag's width. In the upper hoist corner are two yellow six-pointed stars arranged side by side horizontally. The width-to-length ratio is 2:3.

Symbolism: The two golden six-pointed stars symbolize the two historically independent settlements—Hoštice and Heroltice—which merged in 1942 to form a single municipality. The white diagonal stripe (bend sinister) is derived from the silver fess of the municipal coat of arms and also evokes the Rostěnice Stream running through the community. The green field represents the agricultural heritage, the fertile soil of the Haná region, and nature.
