Inta

Inta is a town located in the Komi Republic of Russia, situated along the banks of the Bolshoya Inta River. It was established in the mid-twentieth century primarily to support geological expeditions and coal mining operations in the Pechora basin. During the Soviet era, the town served as a site for a corrective labor camp known as Intalag.
