About the place: Isaszeg is a town in Pest County, Hungary, located within the Budapest metropolitan area. It is historically famous for the major Battle of Isaszeg fought in 1849 during the Hungarian Revolution.

Flag Description: The flag consists of a white field bordered all around with alternating red and green wolf-teeth (flammulets). Centered on the field is the municipal coat of arms. The coat of arms features a gold shield with a green base upon which stands a soldier in a blue uniform with a drawn sabre and carrying a staff wrapped in Hungarian national ribbons over his shoulder. Next to his feet on the green base lies a golden ear of wheat. Below the shield, a gold scroll displays the black inscription ISASZEG.

Symbolism: The figure of the soldier in uniform commemorates the famous Battle of Isaszeg on April 6, 1849, in which Hungarian forces defeated the Imperial army during the Revolution of 1848–1849. The ear of wheat on the green base symbolizes the agricultural tradition and fertility of the land. The red, white, and green border trim and ribbon reflect the Hungarian national colors.
