About the place: Janoušov is a small rural municipality in the Šumperk District of the Olomouc Region, situated in the forested Hanušovice Highlands. Flag Description: Janoušov is a small mountain municipality located in Šumperk District within the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, set in the forested slopes of the Hanušovice Highlands roughly 10 km west of Šumperk. It ranks among the Czech municipalities with the smallest permanent populations and has a predominantly rural, recreational character.

Symbolism: The municipal symbols were granted on 9 October 2007 by the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The silver-and-red chequered eagle wing derives from the Moravian eagle and historical ties to the Margraviate of Moravia. The black crowned double-tailed lion with golden armed parts rising from a golden rose combines the national Czech heraldic emblem with a local differentiator—the golden rose symbolizes natural beauty, prosperity, and historical nobility of the Ruda nad Moravou estate. The blue and red background divisions represent traditional Moravian colours.
