Summary

About the place: Jezernice is a municipality in the Přerov District of the Olomouc Region, located within the Moravian Gate beneath the Oder Highlands northeast of Lipník nad Bečvou. It is well known for its historic brick and stone railway viaduct on the line between Přerov and Bohumín.

Flag Description: The flag consists of three horizontal stripes: green, wavy white with three peaks and two depressions, and undy blue, in a width ratio of 8:1:1. From the central peak and depressions of the white stripe issue three yellow cattails (bulrushes) with leaves into the green stripe. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 2:3.

Symbolism: The wavy white and blue stripes represent local watercourses (notably the Jezernice stream) and historic ponds, forming a canting charge referring to the name Jezernice (derived from 'jezero' – lake/pond). The golden cattails and green field symbolize the riparian vegetation, local nature, and the agricultural character of the landscape.
