Ķekava

Ķekava is a city in Latvia, serving as the administrative centre of Ķekava Municipality in the historic Vidzeme region. Originally a small village, it expanded after the establishment of a kolkhoz and a poultry factory, which now supplies over 95 % of Latvia’s poultry. Ķekava received official city status on 1 July 2022 following the 2021 administrative reform.
